Nothing Special

Today wasn't anything very exciting. I went to my classes and survived through them then i came back to my dorm. I went to a meeting for the NAACP here at CAU. I don't know if i want to return yet though. They didn't really seem as connected to the main branches as I'm used to. Later I went to this talk about safe sex and protecting yourself, which is very important. In college people have the freedom to make their own decisions without anyone telling them when and where, which helps put people at risk. It was very interesting. I really enjoyed it! that was basically all of my day. I'm kind of bored now in my room about to go insane because i don't have anyone to talk to at this time of the night...i'll be okay tho. maybe i'll just go to sleep

lauryn, sometimes the nights can be very boring, but that's a part of life. Confusion...trust me, i know. It's good that your parents are talking to you now about sex. They want you to be safe. Listen when I tell u this, it was in middle school that i was exposed to sex. Not that I was into the act, but many people that i knew were. In fact, by the 9th grade, 2 girls from my middle school had gotten pregnant. So listen to your parents, they're telling you something very important. Don't follow what others do because it'll only get you into trouble.
